I stressed and stressed over this wedding! The closer the date got the worse the forecast looked for their wedding day. I was very familiar with the venue having shot at it before and I knew that this venue was primarily chosen for outdoor weddings. I kept worrying about the rain and worrying Valerie would be upset with the weather etc. The day came and sure enough, it rain, misted, rain and misted ALL day long. When I got to the venue I was happily surprised by Valerie's acceptance of the weather. Instead of stressing about it she embraced it! She brought rain boots and a huge umbrella to incorporate into some outdoor pictures she wanted! I loved it!
I swear I have never seen a happier bride. From beginning to end, Valerie was smiling and it wasn't forced. Anyone who looked at her could see the joy and happiness that was coming from her on her wedding day. I've done enough weddings that I can confidently say, these two are head over heels in love with each other. They made googly eyes at each other, constantly laughing and touching at all times. It was such a pleasure to see two people so in love. In addition to all this happiness, their wedding party was some of the happiest group of people I've seen. To get a formal picture of all of them JUST smiling was nearly impossible. They laughed, cut up and goofed off the whole time. It makes the formal pictures so much better than the standard, stand there, smile...stand there, smile.
Thank you Nick and Valerie! This was such a fun wedding and I'm honored I was able to be part of it!
